Classic cork or the synthetic alternative? On Wine Station tomorrow, Saturday 20 November on Antenna Radio Esse will air the challenge between the most popular bottle closures in the world of enology. On one side Davide Peroni from Nomacorc, a multinational company that produces alternative caps with the goal of eliminating, once and for all, the problem of the ” cork smell ” in wines. His opponent will be Antonio Cini from Etruria Cork, a company in the province of Grosseto producing classical corks, the compulsory closure for most great Italian wines. For the secton “Wines to uncork”, Wine Station presents the labels of the Buonamico Estate located in Doc Montecarlo, in the province of Lucca. The owner, Eugenio Fontana will explain the company’s philosophy and the labels that can be purchased directly from the winery. Finally Mauro Tigli from “Il Gallo Nero” will present a tasty evening scheduled Saturday, November 27 in the Porrione Street restaurant in Siena with a rich menu of local produce and glasses of Brunello di Montalcino.
